Paula Jacques-Bonneau
Executive Director
Paula brings a comprehensive background in education to the Board of Directors at PSDS and is dedicated to animal welfare and learning opportunities. After three decades in education, Paula recently retired from Jeffco Schools Gifted & Talented Twice-Exceptional Program and joined the team at Firefly Autism, as the Services Expansion Coordinator. She has years of experience planning and successfully executing fundraisers and special events. As the Secretary of PSDS, Paula oversees all corporate records and has a voice in the sanctuary’s general operation procedures and policies. Paula is passionate about the therapeutic value of helping children relate to animals and learn compassionate care, especially children who are navigating autism. She hopes to help develop human education programs as PSDS grows. Paula loves traveling with her husband and daughter and working with students who think outside the box. She cherishes the contact she keeps with many of her former students and their families and can’t wait to share the exciting things happening at PSDS.
