Qualities -

A dynamo with the determined grit of a true survivor, Patrick came to us from True & Faithful Pet Rescue Mission who plucked him from the shelter after he was hit by a car and sat in the shelter suffering for four days with a crushed pelvis. We are happy to welcome him to PSDS due to his complicated medical history, though he's not quite a senior. Though emergency surgery saved his life, the skilled vets were unfortunately unable to save his right leg. True & Faithful Pet Rescue Mission nursed this wonderful little fella back to health, and today he is thriving and appears to be the happiest little able-bodied fur-dude around the sanctuary! Patrick has a remarkable upbeat spirit and doesn't even appear to realize that he only has three legs!

Occupation -

Adaptability Expert and Happiness Ambassador: Patrick is the sanctuary's cheerleader and spreader of happiness and good spirit, showing others with any sort of physical challenge or limitation how to live their best lives.

Likes/Dislikes -

May we be 100% honest? Patrick is beyond having 'likes', really, and loves a particular PSDS staff member and a specific meal category kind of...how shall we put this delicately?—obsessively. For his human obsession, Mary is his main squeeze, his favorite human on planet Earth. And for his meal obsession, eggs and chicken is the ONLY meal he will eat. Patrick dislikes dog food. Yes, ALL dog food, with a stubborn passion. This small survivor wants to ONLY eat eggs and chicken, and cannot be talked into anything else. Who are we to argue otherwise?
