Mary Leprino
Founder & Secretary of the Board
Mary has served on numerous nonprofit boards and worked with community programs, and has extensive experience working in the health and welfare industry, including a stint as an EMT.
A self-described “caretaker by nature,” Mary was raised as a dog person and has never looked back. She is a foster-fail many times over.
The sanctuary is a living legacy to both her beloved Pepper, a Pomeranian mix that she rescued in 2011, as well as to her beloved father, who loved dogs. Her dad helped her understand that her life’s work is to help animals.
